Life is busy and so time in the garden in precious.
I work full time during the week for a marketing company in Glasgow. I'm an HR Advisor so I leave the marketing to the people who can do it and instead take on the ups and downs of people's working lives. A incredibly interesting job that reaps satisfying rewards even if it is hard work. A bit like the garden I suppose! Except at work you can't sit back and relax with a cup of coffee and a magazine while taking in the birdsong and the smell of freshly cut grass, especially if you work in the city!
My husband and I both practice aikido twice a week. It's great exercise, good for relaxation and we have some self-defence to boot.
At the weekend, my family always meet up on Sunday for Brunch. Any excuse for coffee, cake and a good laugh! If it's someone's birthday then we'll be out for dinner on the Saturday night too. I enjoy baking although it doesn't come naturally so I usually make the birthday cake which always looks terrible but tastes good!
Hubby, by contrast, does not like the outdoors. You'll find him in his man cave with a playstation. The odd time he'll come out to the garden to compliment my efforts although isn't too sure about the "attack of the killer patio pots". Nothing like a bit of over exaggeration!
So that's us. I wouldn't say we are a typical married couple. We do the best we can and, in this Information Age if we don't know the answer, we Google it!
